After posting this I realized that the way to get widescreen menu is by manually setting a resolution in the renderer options, but when I do that I'm getting an error that says "Bad Display Mode" and that there's an error in Resolution. I'm using the nglide renderer at x and I get a stretched image if I don't check "preserve original" in aspect ratio. Like the config menu getting extremely slow when you are configuring the joystick and any alanog button not functioning in-game you can bind them, but they don't work in a race. It's all listed on "unresolved issues" on PCGaming's wiki page for the game. Fantastic patch, works like a dream once you get it up and running.

Even my antivirus has deleted your. Also, Windows game capture and even radeon capture does not work anymore. It will record the screen like no game is on. The Patch looks very promising. Unfortunately, i can't seem to get it to work properly. The only way the game starts is with DX7 renderer. The problem there is that i lose control of all input keyboard after a few seconds in the race. I can't even exit the game, complete loss of all keyboard commands.

Seems driver doesn't support such pixel format. Try change depth buffer size. Open config. Tried all 3 values, error message stays the same each time unfortunately I guess OpenGL is not for W9x then?
I kind of made it working with DX7 renderer. So, that's something! I just tried your patch, but it doesn't work out very well. When I start the game using your patch, I get errors because some files can't be found. These files store like the records in the game. Also, no matter what renderer I use, I can't display the game in widescreen. Can you help me here?
Also, does this patch work on Windows XP? Which versions of Windows does it work on, besides Windows 10? This has to be the best ever. So, I have a netbook i sometimes take to work. I don't know what the password is for dx7z. Now it goes back to the game menu when pressing escape. Very nice patch though, the game loads quickly and doesn't have the bug I had with the Essentials patch where some laps records wouldn't save at the end of the race.
I'm getting an error when I try to use glide3x. I remember using nglide on my old Win 7 machine and there was no glitches, that why I wanted to use it with this patch. Dx7 wrapper is horrible, everything is lowres and I can't even change the resolution. I use now OpenGL 3 which is nice, besides poor performance. Somehow only glide wrappers are buttery smooth for me Win It should work with the updated game. Will download it and try! I was tired when posting that one, okay?
I found this by looking at another machine, running 98, that updated properly and looked at the update. Here is what you do: Step 1. Nothing else running, except maybe your browser. Step 3. Be sure you are connected to the internet. Step 4. This is a semiautomatic update, it is automatically updating the proper files, but you have to initiate it manually. Let me know if this works for you.
